ROAD TRIPS.
The Road to Hana
This is all about the voyage and not the destination. There's not much in Hana (which is why it is so beloved by locals). The high-priced Hana Maui Hotel will provide and extremely expensive lunch or the tiny hamburger shack down at the bay will give you a less-than-gourmet cheap eat.
If you get motion-sick, skip this winding road.
The local residents have to make this long commute to work daily so be a friend and pull over every time it is safe and there is a car behind you.
If some one gives you a shaka, give 'em a wave back or practice your shaka sign. Most folks are very friendly unless someone is making their life miserable by not pulling over to let them by.
